Rhee Gold is a pioneer in
the dance education field. In 1998, he launched his
groundbreaking business and motivational seminars,
Project Motivate, which has become “standing room only”
events. His philosophies for the classroom, our
students, successful studio ownership, respect for all
dance teachers, and his unmatched passion for the field
have changed the way thousands of teachers and school
owners perceive their profession.
Gold is the son of a dance
teacher, the late Sherry Gold, who founded her school in
the basement of her home and went on to become one of
the country’s most respected masters. Rhee and his twin
brother, Rennie, began dancing at the age of 3 and they
grew up in the dance school. He has been a student, a
competitor, a professional dancer and choreographer, the
president of Dance Masters of America, the founding
chairperson of UNITY, education columnist for Dance
Magazine, and the author of The Complete Guide to
Teaching Dance: An Insider’s Secrets to Personal Reward
and Financial Success (now in its second printing).
In 2004 he launched Dance Studio Life
magazine,
which has become the leading dance education resource
for 66,000 readers worldwide.
Rhee
Gold’s DanceLife Teacher Conference is one of the
largest gatherings of dance educators in the world. In
2008 the conference sold out with more than 700
attendees, including teachers, school owners, office
managers, master teachers, vendors, and more.
